Moore for Kids was founded in 2007 by Kristi and Robert Moore. For many years they had contemplated starting a foundation that would focus on helping children in their local area. Primary focus was to work with other not-for-profits and assist them in their causes. After moving to New York in 2008, the focus was working with local charities that had a direct impact within their local community. The first organizations they worked with were Make A Wish of WNY and Stone’s Buddies.
Beginning in 2012, having more time available to work in the foundation, the focus changed to look at opportunities that were not necessarily local but programs that fulfilled the mission, however were not necessarily local to Buffalo. Emphasis on collaborating with businesses and other not-for-profits to build sustainable programs created a new direction and better opportunities to assist those in need.
We continue to pray that God will help us to use the resources he has given us to help those in need local to Buffalo and abroad.
We develop programs that will maximize the foundations support and with God’s help, create sustainable programs where it will allow us to create more programs that will help God’s people.
